Lighting the Future: Innovation and Education for Shanti Nagar's Children

In a small and neglected corner of Khanewal lies Shanti Nagar, a community where poverty keeps dreams locked away. Most families earn less than $1 a day. Many children—especially girls—remain out of school, unaware of the world of learning, science, and innovation.
But we believe: Every child, regardless of income or background, deserves a chance to shine.
At Central Model School Khanewal, we launched a special education program in Shanti Nagar. We rented a building, arranged solar lights, reused old furniture, and gathered our dedicated teachers to make it happen. This project is more than a school—it is a movement of hope and innovation.
Many of the families in Shanti Nagar belong to the Christian community, and I am a Muslim headteacher. But my belief is simple:
We are all human. Blood runs the same in our veins. Our faith may differ, but our purpose is one — kindness, peace, and equal rights for every child.
As a Muslim, I am proud to stand beside my Christian brothers and sisters and ensure that their children receive the same love, respect, and opportunity.
Our Project Offers:
Free education for boys and girls
Solar-lit classrooms to overcome load shedding
Innovation Lab to teach coding, science kits, and digital tools
Girls Empowerment Program with mentorship and supplies
Awareness sessions on health, water, and climate change
We align our efforts with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, including:
SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), SDG 7 (Clean Energy), and SDG 13 (Climate Action).
We invite international NGOs, donor foundations, and kind-hearted people to support our cause.
